Solutions you can support
Fighting illiteracy one book at a time while reaching across the globe. Here are the solutions that are helping us meet this mission.
Although most of the books are donated, books have to be purchased to fill in any unfinished category.
Table and Chairs
Each library is equipped with tables and chairs crafted by local craftsman for the children to sit and read or do research.
Books are given multiple times a school year to students in low-income schools in the U.S. For many children, these are only books in their home.
Books for an African library are shipped from the U.S. by sea and land in 20’ containers.
New pocket cards and labels make the library books look new. Bookends and posters brighten up the library.
Buckets of Hope
A 5-gallon bucket filled with food supplies and a mosquito net are delivered to widows in villages surrounding the libraries in Africa.
Locally manufactured book shelves make the library professional looking and inviting.
Many Ugandan teachers don’t have the proper training and certification. Scholarships allow a teacher to advance their education.
Backpacks of Promise
A backpack filled with school supplies are delivered to students of the school where a library is built and to children in the neighboring village.
